Small Center Project wins 2018 AIA Louisiana Design Award

The Albert and Tina Small Center for Collaborative Design was honored to receive an award at the 2018 Design Awards presented by the American Institute of Architects Louisiana.  The Small Center was presented with an Honor Award in the Small Projects category for the Hollygrove Greenline Shade Water Pavilion. The award jury took note of the excellent relationship between the scale of the human and the scale of the project.

Every year, the awards celebrate the best of this state’s architecture, recognize achievement in a broad range of architectural work, and inform the public of the breadth and value of architectural practice. This award is a reflection of the hard work of our faculty, staff, students and community partners. Two Tulane School of Architecture faculty members, Judith Kinnard, FAIA, and Irene Keil, served as design leads and Small Center staff member Nick Jenisch served as project manager.

Project support provided by Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans, Carrollton-Hollygrove CDC, Emerging Philanthropists of New Orleans, Surdna Foundation, and Enterprise Foundation.
