Map Room comes to New Orleans

Award-winning artist, educator, and writer, Jer Thorp, shared the process, challenges, and rewards of creating the St. Louis Map Room, a community space for exploring and creating interpretative maps that reflect the personal stories and lived experiences of the people of St. Louis.

The St. Louis Map Room was a collaboration between the Office of Creative Research, the St. Louis-based Center for Creative Arts, and St. Louis Public Schools in Spring 2017.

Visiting hours are 9 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday. Free and open to the public.

Curated by our Public Programs Manager, Sue Mobley, this exhibit is made possible by the generous support of the Surdna Foundation.
