Summer Fellows Present Research at the Blue House

To wrap up the first 2-week module of our Summer 2017 Public Interest Design Fellowship, the Fellows – Ana, Christie, Carolyn, Kelsey, Kekeli, and Ryan – presented their research on how residents of New Orleans might spearhead stormwater management in their neighborhoods.

Led by architect Aron Chang, the Fellows researched and designed both a stormwater management guide and a game that allow residents to explore different strategies for living with water in a subsiding city that sits below sea-level.

About the Summer Fellowship

Each summer, Small Center offers Tulane School of Architecture (TSA) students the opportunity to work with us as paid Public Interest Design Fellows, furthering real-world projects in affordable housing, public space, education, social histories, and healthy cities. If you’re currently a student at TSA, look out for our hiring call during the spring semester.

The Summer 2017 Public Interest Design Fellowship is made possible thanks to the generous support of Eskew+Dumez+Ripple, Morris Adjmi, and the Sizeler family.
