Director Maggie Hansen says farewell
This fall, Director Maggie Hansen will be joining the landscape architecture department at Penn State. This new position allows her to return to a landscape dialogue and puts her a few hours closer to her family. We’re excited for her return to design practice alongside teaching and to life in a more familiar forest ecology!
While we will miss working with Maggie, the team here at Small Center knows that her presence will continue to inform our design work and we look forward to our upcoming projects this fall, including an exhibit on sites of resistance and protest in New Orleans.
Emilie Taylor Welty has often been described as the ‘heart’ of the Center. As one of the graduate students who was critical to the launch of Tulane City Center in 2005, she has been here from the beginning and she will continue to lead the team as Interim Director, while the Center identifies a new Director and a new Assistant Director.
