Small Center celebrates 15-year anniversary with 15K for 15 Years Fundraiser

Let’s celebrate 15 years of public interest design in New Orleans!

Over the past fifteen years, The Albert and Tina Small Center for Collaborative Design, the community design center of the Tulane School of Architecture, has completed over 130 engaged, high quality design projects with partners across New Orleans and trained over 600 students. The Center continues to challenge conventions on what design is, who it is for and why it matters. None of this is possible without financial support.

From February 17th-March 3rd, you can contribute to this important work by joining our 15Kfor15Years campaign. Your donation will support the Small Center’s design/build program, provide university students with core tools of engaged design practice and shape the next generation of designers’ career trajectories. Together, let’s reach the $15,000 fundraising goal.

As we celebrate our 15-year anniversary, it is important to look back at the impact achieved and continue our legacy of engaged-design practice. Small Center contends that innovative solutions to the most pressing problems facing our community lie in resident voices. Our partner organizations bring their project ideas to us, and we bring our design expertise to bear in collaboration, working to imagine and pursue projects that strengthen neighborhoods and contribute to a city shaped by its residents. The Center encourages students to work collaboratively, think critically, and respond to real world constraints, issues and opportunities in ways that defy traditional design education.

We know it is a difficult time and donating isn’t an option for all.  Connect with us on social media. Share a favorite Small Center story. Tell friends and family. Help us give a collective cheer for 15 years!
