Summer Opportunities for Students!

We are excited to share two summer opportunities!
The Design Futures Leadership Forum and the Small Center Public Interest Design Fellowship.
DESIGN FUTURES STUDENT LEADERSHIP FORUM
(For all students)
Design Futures Leadership Forum is a five-day interdisciplinary conference and training attended by 70+ student leaders and 25+ nationally recognized design practitioners. This year, the Washington University of St. Louis will host the forum from May 20th-May 24th.
To apply for Design Futures 2024, please email a Letter of Interest (up to 400 words) to baronne@tulane.edu by Friday, April 5th. Save as “LastNameFirstName_DF2024” and put “Design Futures” in the subject line. * There are 5 slots available and tuition and travel for all students is being funded by TuSA.
PUBLIC INTEREST DESIGN SUMMER FELLOWSHIP
(For current 3rd year students and above from all degree programs)
The PID Summer Fellowship provides TuSA students an opportunity to spend 5 weeks with the Small Center team working on collaborative design projects. Fellows can expect to work with the team on creating a Fall 2024 exhibition funded by the National Academy of Sciences Gulf Coast Research Program, design visioning projects and other Center research and programming efforts. There are 5 slots available. The stipend for the 5 weeks is $4,000 (pre-tax). There is an opportunity for 2 of the fellows to work an additional two weeks focused only on the Gulf Coast Climate Futures Research program for an additional $2000 (pre-tax).

In your letter, please indicate if you are interested in attending Design Futures and/or if you are interested in the additional two weeks of work. Save as “LastNameFirstName_PID2024” and put “PID Fellowship” in the subject line.
